The starting point of the exhibition is the human body and the exhibited works examine this topic from many different angles using various genres and materials. The show sets its guidelines through expressions like body imprint, organic materials, organisms, grotesque, expressivity, the illustrated and the abstracted body. But the artworks deal with body not only as a physical subject. Through their sensitive works the artists tell stories and tales. Fictional, personal, experienced stories or ones they know from hearing. This diversity is surprisingly harmonic: the appearance, the intellectual background, the inspiration or the use of materials create subtle interrelationships between the presented artworks. The somethimes grotesque, gloomy or even repellent works can evoke some kind of sympathy or attraction in their viewer. Although the physical reality of mankind can be handled that genty typically by a female way of thinking, the nine exhibiting artists approach the concept of body as women but not necessarily from a female viewpoint.
